Here's a tip for reducing fuzzies sent in via e-mail by Bob Bocock

Hi Jeff,
Today I decided to try something that I sometimes use if I have to cut 1/8th" ply with regular non-reverse cutting blades. I tried it on the 10 Point Buck and it worked like a charm. I mean there were almost zero fuzzies on the bottom ply of a four-ply stack when I took it apart.
All I did was to use a piece of matting as my bottom piece of the stack. I cut the pattern with the 2/0 Spirals and you could hardly tell the top of the BB ply from the bottom - I mean the only "fuzz" on the wood was just a few hairs. A light scorch and they too were gone.
Yes, I know this (probably) won't work on your patterns with really, really thin runs. But, the long stringers in The Ten Point Buck held up with no breakage at all. Even though the matting doesn't have the "body" of plywood, it holds and supports without tearing. The only added step I'd recommend is an ocassional pass on the matting with 100 grit sandpaper to de-fuzz it - and I used an orbital sander to deliberately push the boundries with NO BREAKAGE (yet). Driving a brad all the way through and allowing it to bend holds the matting tight to the last ply. Next time I'll order some reverse spirals and see if that doesn't eliminate the fuzzies on the matt board.
Anyway, if you haven't tried this, you may want to. I know it works for me and, so far, is saving me a lot of time.
I'm going to do the Red Tailed Hawk next and will be using this again, trying it on a more detailed project.

BTW, I will be taking a couple of photos and sending them to you. I just need to get hangers on the Ten Point Bucks.
Regards to your family,

Bob Bocock
