Daily Tip

Looking for a new method to remove dust from your cuttings?

Then this tip sent in via mail from Mac might just be what you are looking for!

Since many of your patterns have areas that can be very fragile and are a real challenge when it is time to clean up, I have found a method that is effective and stress free.

To begin, I lay the cut pattern on a mesh screen that I have supported with a simple frame. Rather than using a compressor, even on a low volume setting to blow out the dust and debris, I use an old fashioned fire place bellows.

It is much quieter than a compressor, and provides an ample volume of air that is precisely controlled to whisk away the dust. I keep mine at any work station I am at in the shop to clear away dust and find it to be most helpful. The framed screen of course helps to allow the air to pass through.

I enjoy your patterns very much and encourage you to keep up the good work.

Thank you.
Mac
