Daily Tip

There is something you can do with a dull or broken blade other then throw it away

If you are one of those scrollers that feeds the blade from the top, I am sorry to say that this tip isn't going to be very helpful for you, but for the rest of us bottom feeders this tip may make cutting for you a bit easier.

I prefer to drill all the holes in a pattern before I start cutting, however sometimes they get clogged with dust of otherwise obscured and I need a fast and effective way to clean them back out.

That's where that dull or broken blade come is to play. You can easily and effectively clean out a pilot hole by threading a blade through to clean it out.

Take the blade and push it through from the top and out the bottom. As the blade moves through it will remove any dust that has accumulated in the hole as well as cut off any splinters that may be hiding the hole.

I have found that this quick little tip helps to alleviate any frustration I have when I can't get the blade into the hole, it has also sped up the amount of time it takes to complete a project.
