COMMENTS/QUESTIONS WITH RESPONSES

IMAGES

I know you have to new and improve things. The pictures of the patterns aren't large enough. Taking a small section of the pattern and enlarging it is much better.

The only issue that I really have with the site now is that the pictures of the patterns are all too small. even when you bring to a larger scale, it is still too small. This may be a detriment to your sales from the site if the people viewing can't see the patterns clearly. I use the 1024X768 resolution on my screen. I really don't think it would make much difference if I used a larger resolution.

The photos are so small I cant even see what I am buying. Have bought from you several times

The only thing I don't like about the new site is that the pattern previews are so small it is hard to guage the level of detial and get a feel for what I'm getting my self into. I liked how they were on the old site better. Other than that the new site is very easy to use and navigate...

BIGGER IMAGES

This was a common theme among people who filled out the survey/sent me e-mail.

The images on this site are actually BIGGER than they were on the old site, however there is an extra step to seeing the full sized image and the close up of the detail, When you click on a catagory you are seeing a thumbnail of ALL the patterns in that catagory (much like it was on the old site) to see the larger pattern and the close up of the detail click on the pattern you want to see or the link next to it. That will take you to that patterns page.

Once there you can click on the link that says Larger Image under the pattern and have a pop up open that has an image that is BIGGER AND HIGHER QUALITY than they were on the old site

Down near the bottom of the page is close up that I had on the old site, again click on the thumbnail and it will open a new window with the full size section of the pattern in it.

I know the extra step is something of a pain, but in order to make the site load in as short an amount of time for everyone it is a neccessary step. The larger/higher quality images would take forever to load on dial up on pages that had 10 patterns thus we kept the largest images to 1 per page.

Logging in

It seems there has been some trouble with the log in that is causing confusion

The cart is TOTALLY unrealated to the Message Board, it is also seperate from orders placed on the old site.

If you have never registered/placed an order ON THE NEW SITE then you will need to fill out the form as a new customer.

I have no access to your passwords, if you have trouble logging in and are positive you created an account, click the forgot my password link, it will ask for your e-mail, and send an new password to the e-mail you registered with once you have logged into your account with the NEW password you can click the my account link at the top of every page in the cart and change your password to something easier to remember

If it says MY ACCOUNT at the top of the page instead of LOG IN then you ARE logged in to your account

Other Questions Comments

consider takeing American express card. That is what my busness runs on.

Coming soon should be on here within the next two weeks... along with e-checks

For some reason I had difficulty getting the order placed. I really don't recall the steps I took, but think that it would be helpful to have a "Continue Shopping" and place to enter the coupon right up to the final order. It seems like it was an awkward process, but could've just been me

You can always return to shopping or back to the items in your cart using the links at the very top of the page

Have the message board back

The message board never left it is still in the same place it always has been

Have you thought about selling finished pieces on the website

No I haven't. This site is for other scrollers and why would they want to buy a finished piece... I have a seperate website for my cutting customers, although it is being overhauled right now, it features finished cuttings

I haven't ordered from you since last year, but the service and everything was great. My other concern is the fact that you now handle Flying Dutchman Blades. Are you competing against Mike? Or is Mike getting out of the business?

Thank you for the compliments... NO I am neither competing against Mike nor is he trying to get out of the business... It made sense to us both to offer the blades I use here. It helps us both out, so I am an authorized distributor of FD blades... I buy them from Mike and offer them here. When I am out of stock on something then Mike fills the order.

need to have a catalog to send via Snail Mail for ordering out of

Working on it, an affordable solution to a printed catalog has thus far been something that has eluded us, but we are investingating options and hopefully before the year is over we will have something along those lines

well was wondering if you have a way to send hard copys of plans because i have no printer so the ones i bought is on the computer still i was wondering how to solve this problem thanks so much and you guys are awsome

yes you now must choose between printed patterns and downloadable ones when you place an order
